Do You Know What PSPINC Really Stands For?

Do you know PSPINC’s actual name?

Pacific Software Publishing, Inc.

The word “Publishing” is there for a reason.

When PSPINC was founded in 1987, our original business was software publishing.

At that time, many innovative software products were being developed in the United States but were not available in Japan. PSPINC found those products, negotiated licensing rights with American software companies, and brought their software to the Japanese market.

But we did much more than translate the words.

We localized the software for the Japanese language, culture, business practices, computer environment, and customer expectations. We then packaged, marketed, distributed, and supported those products in Japan.

In other words, American software companies created the products, and PSPINC became their publisher in Japan.

That was our business.

Over the years, the software industry changed. Boxed software became downloads, web applications, SaaS, cloud services, and now AI-powered platforms. PSPINC also evolved into software development, hosting, data center operations, and online services.

But our original expertise has never disappeared:

Taking American technology and making it work in Japan.

If you have software or an online service that you believe could succeed in Japan, don't assume that translation is enough.

You may need a partner who understands both sides of the Pacific.

That is exactly why Pacific Software Publishing, Inc. was created.
