Shigenobu Nagamori, founder of Nidec ( https://www.nidec.com/en/ ), is known for a simple but powerful management philosophy:

 

“Do it now. Make sure it gets done. Keep going until it works.”
すぐやる、必ずやる、出来るまでやる。

 

Nagamori founded Nidec in Kyoto in 1973 with only a handful of employees. From that small beginning, he built the company into one of the world’s leading motor manufacturers.

 

His philosophy is not complicated.

 

Do it now.
Ideas have little value until someone takes action. Waiting for the perfect timing often means doing nothing.

 

Make sure it gets done.
Starting is easy. Finishing requires responsibility and commitment.

 

Keep going until it works.
Failure does not necessarily mean something cannot be done. It may simply mean that the right way has not yet been found.

 

In business, we spend a great deal of time planning, discussing, analyzing, and worrying about what might go wrong. Of course, planning matters. But eventually, someone has to act.

 

Nagamori’s words remind us that success often comes down to three things:

 

Action. Commitment. Persistence.

 

Don’t wait for perfect conditions.
