The saying gained worldwide recognition in popular culture when the British rock band The Rolling Stones, formed in 1962, adopted its name. Inspired by the image of a stone that never stops moving, the name symbolizes continuous change, energy, and freedom. More than sixty years later, the band is still performing, making the name remarkably fitting.

 

It is fascinating that a single proverb has traveled for over 2,600 years—from ancient philosophy to everyday language, and ultimately to one of the most famous rock bands in history.
