At first glance, this looks professional. Clean. Polite. Structured.

 

But this is exactly what is wrong with modern outbound sales.

 

This email is not written to me. It is written to everyone. My company name is inserted, but there is zero understanding of what we do. No mention of our services, our market, or even our business model. It assumes I have a “pipeline problem” without asking a single question.

 

Then comes the typical number: “35% more predictable revenue.”
Based on what? For whom? Over what time? No explanation. Just a number designed to sound impressive.

 

This is not communication. This is automation.

 

The call to action is also weak: “Might a brief discussion…”
Why should I? What did you say that earned my time?

 

And the “Final follow-up”? I never engaged. This is not a follow-up—it’s a tactic.

 

Finally, the opt-out: “Reply with ‘Opt-out.’”
That alone tells me everything. This is a bulk email system, not a relationship.

 

Here is the reality.

 

If you cannot take the time to understand who you are emailing,
you have no right to ask for their time.

 

Technology made it easy to send emails.
It did not make it okay to waste people’s attention.

 

Good sales is not about sending more emails.
It’s about sending fewer—but meaningful ones.
