SiteMonster — 20 Years of PSPINC Monitoring Technology, Now Free

In January 2003, PSPINC developed an internal monitoring tool called SiteMonster. At the time, we needed a reliable way to continuously monitor our web and email services. Waiting for a customer to report a problem was simply not acceptable. If something stopped responding, we wanted to know immediately.

 

So we built our own system.

 

For more than 20 years, SiteMonster has been running inside PSPINC, quietly monitoring the services that power our hosting infrastructure. Over the years we have continuously improved it and relied on it to help maintain the reliability our customers expect.

 

Monitoring may sound simple, but in the hosting business it is critical. Detecting a problem early can mean the difference between a minor interruption and a major outage.

 

Now we are making this technology available to everyone.

 

PSPINC is releasing SiteMonster as a free Windows application so that businesses and website owners can monitor their own services. You can use SiteMonster to monitor your websites and email servers, even if they are not hosted by PSPINC.

 

In other words, you can watch your hosting provider the same way we watch our own systems.
