DreamersI Email Hosting Will Launches New Feature (Phase 1) — Protecting Users with External Link Confirmation

 

PSPINC has begun development of a new security feature for DreamersI Email Hosting as the first step in strengthening email safety: External Link Confirmation (Phase 1).

 

With this feature, when a user clicks an external link contained in an email, the system will no longer jump directly to the destination. Instead, a confirmation message will appear:

 

“You are about to open an external link. Do you want to continue?”

 

The link will open only after the user explicitly selects Continue.

 

In recent years, many phishing and impersonation emails have been deliberately designed to prevent users from pausing to think. The more rushed a person is, the more likely they are to click a link unconsciously. Phase 1 is not about advanced AI judgment. Its purpose is to introduce a simple but effective pause before the user proceeds.

 

This brief pause carries significant value.
By inserting a confirmation step immediately before the click, the system helps reduce accidental clicks, alerts users to suspicious links, and raises overall security awareness. While simple, this approach has proven highly effective in real-world operations.

 

At PSPINC, our strategy is not to rely immediately on complex AI detection. Instead, we are building practical, reliable layers of defense step by step—measures that deliver real protection without significantly degrading user experience. Phase 1 is positioned as a foundational step in that strategy.

 

Future phases will explore more advanced protections, including link risk scoring, enhanced phishing detection, and improved administrative visibility.
