January 27, 2026 – Narita Airport, Chiba
After a nine-hour flight, I arrived at Narita Airport in Chiba, Japan.
They call it “New Tokyo International Airport,” but technically it’s not in Tokyo. From here, I still have another flight to Osaka.

The flight felt surprisingly short. In just nine hours, I managed to watch three movies. By the time I landed, it was already around 5:00 p.m. in Japan. My connecting flight to Osaka will depart in about an hour and a half, and the flight itself should take roughly an hour.
I’ll be staying in Japan until February 6, and I’ll be returning to Seattle on the same day.
Japan’s election campaign is expected to begin tomorrow and continue through early February. Being here during this period should make this trip even more interesting.
