Why Companies Show off Humanoid Robots?

Why Companies Show off Humanoi...

A robot does not need to be humanoid. Humanoid design is often driven by familiarity and marketing rather than efficiency. In reality, the best robot design should be determined by the task it performs. Wheels outperform legs for transport, robotic arms outperform human arms in precision, and drones outperform humans in the air. Nature itself shows that form follows function. Designing robots to look like humans often adds unnecessary complexity, cost, and limitations instead of improving performance.

Unless, someday, humans can transfer their brains into robots—like in Ghost in the Shell—in pursuit of immortality. Only then would a humanoid form truly make sense.
