Today is Black Friday and our company is closed. However, unlike many retail businesses that opened yesterday for Thanksgiving sales, most stores are open today and the crowds are intense. I wanted to walk somewhere warm, so I headed toward Bellevue Square—but the traffic was unbelievably bad. I gave up and decided to come to the office instead.
From here, I walked over to the McDonald’s near the company and had lunch. I usually order the extra value meal with the chicken sandwich, but today I tried a double burger for $7. It’s two dollars more than the chicken meal, but it looked good. And unlike the McDonald’s near Factoria, this one still has a self-serve drink fountain. I started with unsweetened iced tea, but later switched to Coke when I noticed my glucose was running low.
I haven’t bought anything for Black Friday yet. Now that I’m back in the office, I’ll see if there’s anything worth getting. Amazon was extremely busy this morning, and I couldn’t really browse. Hopefully I can still find something good at a good price.
