Today marks the first working day of November 2025. I started my morning with breakfast, then headed to Bellevue Park for a 40-minute walk. The air was crisp, the trees still holding on to the last of their autumn colors, and for once—it wasn’t raining. That alone felt like a small gift in Seattle this time of year.
Because of the time change, my internal clock is still off. I woke up around 4 a.m., tried to go back to sleep, and finally got up again a little after 5:30. I’ve never liked this time change. It feels unnecessary—like we’re all forced to adjust for no real reason. I wish they would just pick one time and stick with it.
Still, an early start isn’t all bad. There’s something peaceful about walking through the park before the city fully wakes up. It’s a reminder that even small routines—like a quiet morning walk—can set the tone for a good day ahead.
