We lost power last night, and it didn’t come back until around noon today. Fortunately, I had recently purchased two battery backups, which allowed us to keep both refrigerators running. As a result, we didn’t lose any food — that alone made the investment worthwhile.
This morning, while the power was still out, we took my daughter’s dog for a walk at the park in Bellevue, where everything was operating normally. After that, we stopped by a restaurant on Bellevue Way for breakfast. When we returned home, the power was still out, but it finally came back around noon.
The frustrating part is that we lose power every time there’s a storm. You would think they’d fix the problem by now.
