Today is Sunday, October 19, 2025. My daughter's family is in Japan, so I drove to Lynnwood this afternoon to pick up their dog. On the way home, we decided to stop at Juanita Beach Park in Kirkland. The park was quiet, and we walked along the path at a relaxed pace. He seemed happy, frequently stopping to sniff around.
Just as we finished our walk and returned to the car, it began to rain. I felt lucky we had wrapped up in time. We drove home through the light rain, thinking the timing had been perfect.
When we arrived home, the rain had already stopped.
