Before the era of Passkey Authentication, many online services relied on one-time passwords (OTP) as the extra layer of security. OTPs are temporary codes sent to your phone or email, and they must be entered along with your usual login credentials. While effective, OTPs can be intercepted, delayed, or inconvenient to use.
This is where Passkey Authentication comes in as the next step forward. Passkeys eliminate the need to type in a password or check a text message. Instead, your identity is verified using secure cryptographic keys stored on your device. In practice, that means you can log in with the same ease as unlocking your smartphone—using a fingerprint, Face ID, or PIN.
At PSPINC, we are excited to announce that we are developing and implementing Passkey Authentication across our SaaS applications. Our goal is to provide the most secure and convenient login experience for our customers. The first rollout will be with Dreamersi Hosting, followed by integration into other PSPINC products.
With this shift, we’re not only improving the security of user accounts but also reducing the reliance on outdated methods like OTPs. This is part of our ongoing effort to make online experiences faster, safer, and more user-friendly.
