Doughnut Day
Last week, I brought two dozen bagels from Panera Bread. Today, I picked up a dozen doughnuts and brought them to the office. I’ll try to bring something every Tuesday when I can.
Since school started, leaving my house at 8:00 a.m. has become tricky—I can’t get out of my cul-de-sac. That means I either have to leave around 8:20 or about 25 minutes earlier than 8:00. This morning, I chose to leave early, which gave me enough time to stop for doughnuts.
On the way, I almost hit what I think was a high school student. He was talking to hisfrined near crosswalk and suddenly decided to run across the intersection. I had to slam on my brakes, and he looked shocked before saying “sorry.” I’m just glad I didn’t hit him. Maybe he saw his girlfriend or something and wasn’t paying attention.
