最近ゴルフボールもアメリカで高くなった。とふと思って同じボールを日本とアメリカで比較してみた。もちろん日本製のボールではなく、アメリカ製のボール。 アメリカのアマゾンの表示価格は税金前の価格なので、これに10%のセールスタックスがワシントンシューターかかる。要するに1ダースの価格は64ドルと言うことになる。これを今の為替1ドル154円で計算すると、1ダースのボールの価格が9856円となる。この同じボールが日本での アマゾン価格は6400円。多分この価格にはもう税金が含まれているので、価格差は3456円日本の方が安いと言うことになる。 これは単純に計算すると1ドル100円計算で日本でボールが売られていると言う友達になる。アメリカで同じボールを買うと日本で買うのより54%高いと言うことになる。絶対おかしい。

 

Recently, I noticed that golf balls have become expensive in America. So, I decided to compare the prices of the same balls in Japan and America. Specifically, I compared American-made balls, not Japanese ones. The displayed price on Amazon in America doesn't include taxes, so a 10% sales tax is added for Washington state. This means that the price for a dozen balls is $64. Calculating this at the current exchange rate of 1 dollar to 154 yen, the price for a dozen balls becomes 9,856 yen. On the other hand, the Amazon price for the same balls in Japan is 6,400 yen. Presumably, this price already includes taxes, so the price difference is 3,456 yen, making Japan cheaper. To put it simply, if we assume a conversion rate of 100 yen to 1 dollar, it means that balls are being sold in Japan at a friendlier price. Buying the same balls in America is 54% more expensive than buying them in Japan. Absolutely absurd.
